Working with patients and the public

Our patient and public engagement strategy ensures that members of the public are able to influence the regulation of the pharmacy profession and have a say about what they expect from pharmacy services.

As part of this strategy, half of all the members on the governing council are independently-appointed lay people.

Where appropriate, we will consult and proactivley engage with patients and the public in the development of our work. However, there may be occassions where we may consualt with patient groups rather than directly with patients.
