Registration Assessment (exam)
The GPhC conducts a registration assessment twice a year - one in the summer and one in the autumn.
The registration assessment will be held on the following dates in 2012:
- Friday 29 June 2012 - deadline for applications 18 May
- Friday 28 September 2012 - deadline for applications 17 August

Removal of late entry fee - there is no late entry fee for the 2012 registration assessments
In the assessment the trainee is required to demonstrate knowledge and understanding by analysing and evaluating practice-based problems.
To be eligible to join the GPhC register, a trainee must pass the examination, as well as meeting all other registration criteria.

Registration Assessment (Exam) deadlines for 2012 sittings
These are the deadlines for the Summer and Autumn 2012 Registration Assessment sittings. On each of the specified days below, the deadline for receipt of applications/requests/notifications is noon. Applications/requests/notifications must be sent in such a way the date of posting can be verified and the package can be tracked.
These dates should be read in conjunction with the Registration Assessment Regulations in the 2011/2012 Pre-registration Manual.
Summer 2012 Registration Assessment deadlines:
5 April 2012: deadline for receipt of adjustment requests
18 May 2012: deadline for receipt of applications for the June 2012 assessment
29 June 2012: date of the Summer Registration Assessment
6 July 2012: deadline for receipt of adverse circumstances requests
6 July 2012: deadline for receipt of withdrawals
1 August 2012: deadline for receipt of remarking requests
16 August 2012: deadline for receipt of appeals
Autumn 2012 Registration Assessment deadlines:
3 August 2012: deadline for receipt of adjustment requests
17 August 2012: deadline for receipt of applications for the September 2012 assessment
28 September 2012: date of the Autumn Registration Assessment
5 October 2012: deadline for receipt of adverse circumstances requests
5 October 2012: deadline for receipt of withdrawals
8 November 2012: deadline for receipt of remarking requests
15 November 2012: deadline for receipt of appeals
