The registration applications of the successful candidates are being processed so that they can join the register as soon as possible.

There were 2,811 candidates who sat the GPhC’s Registration Assessment on the 25 June 2015 with 2,077 candidates passing the assessment and 734 candidates who did not pass the assessment.

2,621 candidates sat the assessment for the first time, 116 sat for the second time and 74 sat for the third time. Pharmacist pre-registration trainees are permitted three attempts at the registration assessment (2).

Duncan Rudkin, Chief Executive of the GPhC, said:

“I would like to congratulate all candidates who successfully passed the registration assessment.

“Pharmacists take on significant responsibilities in supporting and protecting the health and wellbeing of their patients from the very start of their careers. The registration assessment plays an important role in making sure that only those candidates who have successfully demonstrated that they have the knowledge to take on those responsibilities safely, can join the register.”
