Delegates from key organisations with a role in pre-registration pharmacist education and training in England came together on 3 February 2016 to discuss how to improve the quality of training, at a roundtable held by the GPhC.

Our report provides a summary of the discussions at the roundtable, including about work already underway to improve pre-registration pharmacist training and further actions that could be taken.

We will now work closely with key organisations involved to take forward the actions identified at the roundtable.

We are also engaging with key organisations involved in pre-registration pharmacist training in Wales and Scotland to consider any other actions or evidence that may be needed to ensure the quality of pre-registration across Great Britain.

We hope to facilitate a broad debate on how to improve pre-registration pharmacist training with everyone involved, including current and future pharmacist trainees, tutors and employers.
