Paying by Direct Debit

Direct Debit is an easy way to renew your annual registration with us.

If you want to pay by Direct Debit, you’ll need to set this up by the date set out in your renewal notice to make sure you can complete the process in time.

You can pay:

  • a one-off annual fee
  • four equal payments every three months from the date of your renewal

We take payments on the first working day of each month. A payment schedule will be sent to you so you know the dates payments will be taken.

Failed quarterly payments

If you’ve asked us to take the payments quarterly and a payment is rejected by your bank, we’ll email you to let you know. You’ll need to pay the whole remaining balance using a credit or debit card. You’ll also need to pay a £20 re-processing fee if the rejected payment isn’t the first instalment.

Changing your bank details

If you’re using the Current Account Switch Service to change your bank details, you’ll we will receive a new Direct Debit form automatically.

If you don’t use the switch service or change your bank details for any other reason, please complete a new Direct Debit form. You’ll need to send it to us at least two weeks before your next payment is due. Banks need 10 working days’ notice before we collect the payment from your new bank.

Cancelling your Direct Debit

If you want to cancel your Direct Debit, please contact your bank at least five working days before your payment is due to be taken.
