The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) now operates a 'rolling register'. This means that, with effect from 27 September 2010, registration for both pharmacy professionals and premises will require renewal one year from the date of entry.
Registrants who were transferred across from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain will continue on their 31 December expiry date.
It will be necessary to renew your registration two months before the expiry date. Your renewal deadline will be clearly shown in your renewal notice.
Failure to renew by this deadline will result in you, or your premises, being removed from the register. You will then have to restore your entry to the register before you are able to practise as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician, or run a pharmacy from your premises.
