Renewal: premises

A pharmacy can only be registered in Great Britain, or have its registration renewed, if the service model includes at least one of the following: 

  1. the sale of Pharmacy (P) medicines
  2. the supply of P medicines or Prescription Only Medicines (POMs) against prescriptions. 
  3. the supply of P medicines or Prescription Only Medicines (POMs) against prescriptions written by veterinary practitioners for the treatment of animals under the ‘cascade’.

Renewing your pharmacy registration with myGPhCpharmacy

myGPhCpharmacy is a website where you can renew your pharmacy registration online. It is being introduced for all pharmacies that have registration expiry dates from October 2014 onwards and replaces our existing paper-based renewal system.

Using the myGPhCpharmacy website you will be able to:

  • make renewal declarations and payments online
  • see your receipts for renewal payments
  • look at your outstanding BACs and Direct Debit payments
  • tell us if you plan to voluntarily remove or transfer ownership of your registered pharmacies, and
  • create accounts for employees involved in managing your pharmacy registration renewal

If you own pharmacies that have a registration expiry dates from October 2014 you will receive a welcome letter which will explain how to set up your myGPhCpharmacy user account, along with factsheets to get you started on managing your pharmacy registration renewal using myGPhCpharmacy.

myGPhCpharmacy is replacing the existing paper-based renewals system and will be the only way to renew pharmacy registrations  with expiry dates from October 2014.

Make sure we send your renewal notices to the correct address

Please ensure that we have the correct contact details for your renewal notice. Send us the name and address of the appropriate person in your organisation by email.

Renewal fees

The fees for renewal of pharmacy registration are £241

Payment of renewal fees by direct debit

If you wish to pay your renewal fees by direct debit, please complete the appropriate mandate form below and return the completed form to the Customer Services Team by post, by the deadline indicated on your renewal notice. Mandates received after this date will not be processed. We will send you confirmation that your direct debit has been set up.
