Reflective account
The purpose of the reflective account is to encourage you to think about how you meet our standards for pharmacy professionals in the work you do as a pharmacy professional.
Standards to focus on in your reflective account
If you are completing your reflective account, the standards you should reflect on are:
- standard 3 - pharmacy professionals must communicate effectively
- standard 6 - pharmacy professionals must behave professionally
- standard 9 - pharmacy professionals must demonstrate leadership
Find out more about why we chose these standards in Regulate
Subjects you might want to learn about
In the course of our work we sometimes identify subjects in pharmacy practice which we think are important to members of the public. The areas we currently recommend learning in are:
- supplying sodium valproate to women and girls
- identifying the signs of domestic abuse and supporting survivors, families and perpetrators
These are not required learning subjects, but you might find it useful to consider them if they are relevant to your practice.

Peer discussion
Peer discussion is a learning and development activity that encourages you to engage with others in your reflection on learning and practice.
- Peer discussion form and guidance- for practising having a peer discussion
- Peer discussion guidance - for pharmacy professionals
- Peer discussion guidance - for peers
- Peer discussion guidance - for employers
Planned and unplanned CPD
Research shows that a simple approach to CPD recording encourages reflective practice. We want you to complete four CPD entries a year, of which at least two must be planned.

- Unplanned CPD form and guidance for recording your activity offline
