If you missed the recent bulletin in your inbox, catch up with all the latest info here...

Welcome to Spring 2019 pre-registration bulletin, with useful information to help you prepare for the registration assessment. Pre-registration tutors may find this information helpful too.

Are you eligible to sit the registration assessment?

You can only be considered for entry to the registration assessment once you have achieved a week-39 progress report that is marked as satisfactory by your tutor. This means that you must start your training before a set date. See the key dates page to check your eligibility for the 2019 assessments.

Applying to sit the June 2019 assessment

If our records show that you are eligible to sit the June 2019 assessment, we will let you know which centre you have been allocated to sit the assessment, and how to apply. If you expect to sit in June 2019 and haven’t received an email from us by the end of April, contact us.

Download the application form and apply

Assessment preparation

For information about the assessment, including  a series of video presentations about the format of the assessment, sample answer sheets, sample calculations questions, an example of the instructions (a ‘rubric’) and a template resource pack, see section five of the pre-registration manual

If you are sitting the registration assessment and have a permanent or temporary specific need which you feel could disadvantage you when sitting, you can request reasonable adjustments to the assessment conditions until 21 March 2019. Find out about requesting an adjustment

Are you fit to sit the assessment?

It’s really important that you only sit the registration assessment if you are fit to do so. If you think you might underperform for any reason, you should withdraw and wait for another sitting if you’re eligible. If you want to withdraw, you must tell us using the notification of withdrawal form. If you do not sit and do not withdraw, it may count as one of your assessment attempts.

See section five of the pre-registration manual for more information about making a decision to sit the assessment.

If you have a concern about pharmacy education and training then you can raise it using our dedicated form.

When can I join the register?

Check the key dates page to see the earliest date you can register, based on the assessment you are planning to sit and when you successfully complete 52 weeks of training. Don’t forget to check the deadline for submitting your registration application to join the register on that date.

Find out more about how to join the register in sections six and seven of the pre-registration manual.
