Look out for your invitation to respond to a major survey about your roles and responsibilities

30 May 2019

If you are a pharmacist or pharmacy technician currently on our register, you’ll shortly receive an email on behalf of the GPhC inviting you to complete an important survey about your job roles and responsibilities, work settings, future work plans, and your levels of job satisfaction and work-life balance.

We would urge you to respond as the information you provide will give us valuable insights which we can use to improve the way we regulate.

We have commissioned an independent organisation, Enventure, to carry out the survey, so that you can respond in confidence - we will only receive anonymised data and findings. Enventure will provide us with a report of the findings which we will share with you, so that you can understand more about your profession and environment you are working in.

We recognise that your time is valuable, so we have designed the survey to contain short, multiple choice questions which are easy to complete.

While the main focus of the survey is on workforce information, we also know that concerns have previously been raised about work-life balance and job satisfaction in pharmacy roles. We have listened to these concerns and have included questions to help build a greater understanding about the experiences of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

Although we don’t have a role in workforce planning, we will be sharing the anonymised dataset with the organisations that do, including Health Education England (HEE), NHS Education for Scotland (NES), and Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW).

Please do look out for the email from Enventure which will be coming to you in the next week. The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete, and we would very much value your input.
