We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join our People team and provide high quality administrative support for all aspects of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion function.

The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented individual who is passionate about EDI and has a positive appreciation of difference. The EDI Co-ordinator is a rewarding and varied role responsible for working across all areas of the business to ensure that our duties under the Equality Act 2010, together with our published aims are met.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be able to build effective relationships and engage and influence colleagues at all levels.
  • Be capable of working closely with EDI Networks, helping members to develop solutions and identifying areas where progress can be made, and helping to resolve problems and conflicts as they arise.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have substantial EDI knowledge, including an understanding of the legislative framework, including the requirements of the equality duty.
  • To deputise for the EDI Manager on an ad hoc basis, in engaging with and attending external meetings.
  • Have an unwavering commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. 

The successful candidate must demonstrate significant experience of working in an administrative role and possess well-developed organisational skills and the ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office applications, Excel and PowerPoint in particular. Excellent communications skills, with the ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with a wide range of people are a must. Attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.
