GPhC announces new Directorate structure

Two years after its launch the GPhC announces changes to its Directorate structure.

The headline feature of these changes will be the creation of two new Directorates:

  • Resources and Customer Services (with responsibilities including registration, IT and finance)
  • Inspection and Fitness to Practise Directorate, comprising Investigations and Case Management, Hearings and the Inspection team

Hilary Lloyd, Director of Regulatory Services leaves her role as part of these changes.

Duncan Rudkin Chief Executive and Registrar said:

“Hilary has made a major contribution to pharmacy regulation, and her achievements during her time with us have been both varied and considerable. She has, without doubt, helped to position the organisation to a point where it can now confidently move to the next stage of evolution”.

The new Resources and Customer Services Directorate will be headed up by Bernard Kelly, currently Director of Resources and Corporate Development.

The recruitment process for the new Director of Inspection and Fitness to Practise will commence shortly.
