We are reminding pharmacy owners and pharmacy professionals that they need to make sure they meet our standards and follow our guidance for providing pharmacy services at a distance, including on the internet, whenever they provide online pharmacy services.
We can confirm that 2,915 candidates sat the registration assessment on 27, 28 and 29 July, with the vast majority of these completing the sitting in Pearson test centres across the UK, and with 34 candidates sitting remotely in the UK and overseas using Pearson’s OnVUE system. 
Since July 2020 we have taken enforcement action against 36 pharmacy premises and a pharmacy professional following intelligence-led inspections or investigations relating to unusually high sales of codeine linctus.
During the registration assessment dates (27, 28 and 29 July) our contact centre will open from 7.30am till 5.00pm.
