Duncan Rudkin, Chief Executive of the GPhC, said:
"New services to trace people who have been in close contact with people who have tested positive for coronavirus, and to ask them to self-isolate, are being introduced across Great Britain.
We have published our Vision 2030 which sets out an ambitious 10-year vision for safe and effective pharmacy care at the heart of healthier communities.
We have also published our Strategic Plan 2020-25 which sets out the work we plan to do in the coming five years to help us achieve our 10-year vision.
Duncan Rudkin, Chief Executive of the General Pharmaceutical Council, said:
“We share the widespread view across pharmacy that there should be zero tolerance for abuse or violence against pharmacy staff.
Three temporary emergency measures have been introduced by the UK Government into legislation (The Misuse of Drugs (Coronavirus) (Amendments Relating to the Supply of Controlled Drugs During a Pandemic etc.) Regulations 2020).
