In late March Duncan Rudkin Chief Executive of the GPhC gave evidence to the Norman Williams review of Gross Negligence Manslaughter (GNM) in healthcare. The attached briefing informed this evidence.
The Privy Council has re-appointed Nigel Clarke as Chair of the General Pharmaceutical Council for a period of four years from 1 April 2018 to 12 March 2022.

Consultation seeks views on education and training of pharmacist independent prescribers
Our governing council has decided that registration renewal fees for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises will remain at current levels for the financial year 2018/19.
The GPhC Council today agreed that revised criteria for registration as a pharmacy technician in Great Britain will come into effect on 31 August 2018, in advance of the 2018-2019 academic year. The criteria set out the required education, training and experience needed in order to register as a pharmacy technician.
