We have launched a consultation on proposals to introduce revalidation for pharmacy professionals. This is an important change to what pharmacists and pharmacy technicians must do each year to show that the trust in pharmacy professionals is well placed.

The High Court has today handed down its judgment in relation to the PDA’s application for judicial review of the new standards for pharmacy professionals. The PDA’s application for permission to seek a judicial review in relation to the standards was refused.

Our Council, at its meeting on 6 April, approved the wording relating to personal values and beliefs in new standards for pharmacy professionals.
