New guidance has been published by the GPhC which sets out the key areas that need to be considered by the pharmacy owner and superintendent pharmacist in any registered pharmacy where unlicensed medicines are prepared by a pharmacist or under the supervision of a pharmacist.

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) has agreed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with other key organisations in England to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of pharmacy regulation by strengthening joint working and minimising duplication.
Pre-registration trainees must apply for the registration assessment in June by no later than 5pm on Friday 16 May 2014. Candidates who miss this deadline will have to wait until the Autumn assessment, as there is no longer an option to pay a late entry fee.
