We are seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance and Consistency Officer to support our mission to protect the public by helping to develop our quality programme and deliver our review, audit, compliance and assurance work.

The role

The Quality Assurance and Consistency Officer will help us in delivering a first-class quality assurance, consistency and scrutiny service within our Fitness to Practise and Inspections, Insight and Intelligence directorates, as well as supporting our Hearings and Governance services on a commissioned basis. 

A key component of the role is delivery of a programme of quality assurance and compliance audits as well as taking on ad-hoc work such as supporting internal reviews and work done by external auditors and legal service providers.

The successful applicant will:

  • Undertake a programme of effective and timely quality assurance and compliance audits.
  • Analyse data, report and make recommendations.
  • Further develop the directorate's quality assurance framework.
  • Support improvements to quality and consistency across the directorates’ functions.
  • Have experience of completing audit and compliance work within a regulatory environment; or will have experience of investigations, casework or legal services.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and IT skills.
  • Have an enthusiasm to learn new skills and to pick up relevant legislation and frameworks quickly and be able to filter large amounts of information
