Don’t forget to have your say about standards for pharmacy professionals

15 June 2016

There is just over one week left to let us know what you think about our proposed standards for pharmacy professionals, before the consultation closes on 27 June.

Since the consultation launched on 4 April, we have held engagement events across Great Britain with hundreds of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, pharmacy organisations, educators, students and members of the public.

Over 200 of you joined us for a webinar on 25 May to find out more about the proposed new standards, and how these would integrate with new arrangements for assuring continuing fitness to practise. Our policy panel debated some interesting questions asked by the participants. You can watch the webinar via this link.

We’ve also been hearing the views of members of the public and organisations that represent them through events across Great Britain. Please make sure you add your comments to the feedback we’ve had so far-we want to know if you think we have got the right standards to promote professionalism and person-centred care in pharmacy. Click here to take the survey.

Once the consultation period ends on 27 June, we will analyse the responses we receive and report to the GPhC council later this year, which will take the responses into account when considering the final standards for pharmacy professionals.

We will also publish a summary of the responses we receive and an explanation of the decisions taken.
