Assessment Officer

We are seeking a strong team player, with excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills to work in a friendly, positive environment and contribute to the success of the Fitness to Practise Assessment Team.

Assessment Officers play an important role in helping us to achieve our vision of safe and effective pharmacy care at the heart of healthier communities, they are key decision-makers in determining initial enquiries to assess all concerns received by the GPhC.

This role is subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of our pre-employment due diligence.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have the ability to recognise, highlight and manage risks.
  • Possess effective communication skills to respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders, including customer services staff, registrants, members of the public and witnesses; managing issues directly, empathetically and, where appropriate, escalating the issue.
  • Be an active team player and demonstrate behaviours of helping colleagues, sharing information, and solving process issues.
  • Take a pro-active approach to improving processes, with the tenacity to make sure that assessments are delivered with the best customer experience in mind.
