The Assurance and Appointments Committee (AAC) operate independently from our governing Council but report to them annually. They are responsible for the recruitment of our Investigating Committee and Fitness to Practise Committee members.
The AAC also oversees arrangements for members' training and performance reviews. This is an important part of ensuring the committees' independent decision making and helps to make sure that the decisions made have the confidence of the public and the profession.
