Looking ahead, we can see some significant developments which will have a big impact on pharmacy and pharmacy regulation.
These include:
- the short-term and longer-term effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on health and social care, and on wider society
- the effects on clinical care of new technologies and advances in science technology having further impacts on medicines and on the way they are supplied
- patients and the public having high expectations of ‘person-centred’ care, and health and social care becoming even more integrated
