The GPhC in Wales

We work to ensure that pharmacy regulation is responsive to, and reflective of, developments in Wales, as well as England and Scotland

We work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals, regulatory and oversight bodies in Wales to ensure safe and effective provision of pharmacy services. We also work closely with the government.

Liam Anstey, Director for Wales

Liam started the role as Director for Wales on 11 November 2019. Liam has previously worked across the health and social care sector in leading communications roles for the British Medical Association, General Medical Council and Royal College of Nursing.

Liam will lead the GPhC’s work across Wales and supports our commitment to regulating in a way that reflects the local context across Great Britain. A key component of this role is engaging with pharmacy professionals, pharmacy owners, Senedd, patients and the public, education providers and other key partners.
