Discussion paper: Making sure patients and the public obtain medicines and other pharmacy services safely online
We are seeking views until 21 August 2018 on our proposals to strengthen our guidance for owners of online pharmacies.
We are proposing that online pharmacies will have to put in place new safeguards to protect people who want to obtain medicines online, including opiates, antibiotics, asthma inhalers and Botox.
Patients and the public and organisations that represent them, healthcare professionals, owners of primary care services and others with an interest in online pharmacy are encouraged to read our discussion paper and respond to our survey before 21 August 2018.
