Preparing for pharmacist pre-registration 2016/17

11 February 2016

Applications to join the 2016/17 pharmacist pre-registration scheme are now open for trainees – if you are planning to offer pharmacist pre-registration training for the coming training year, you will need to apply for approval of your pharmacy as a training site by 1 March 2016.

Pharmacist pre-registration trainees must train at a site which can provide them with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours that patients and the public expect from a fully qualified pharmacist.

You will need to demonstrate how you will give pharmacist trainees the opportunity to meet the 76 performance standards and deliver the learning outcomes from the pharmacist education standards by submitting a training plan as part of your application.
