GPhC appoints Professor Andrew Husband as chair of its Board of Assessors

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) has appointed Professor Andrew Husband as chair of its Board of Assessors.

Professor Husband has been a member of the board since 2012 and is an honorary consultant pharmacist, as well as a GPhC academic course accreditor.

Commenting on the appointment, Nigel Clarke, Chair of the GPhC, said:

“I would like to congratulate Andrew on his appointment. I very much look forward to working with Andrew and the rest of the board as they continue to oversee the production and quality assurance of the registration assessment. I would also like to give my thanks to Lynne Bollington who as interim chair of the board has done an excellent job in leading the changes to the 2016 registration assessment.”

Professor Husband said:

“I'm delighted to be given this opportunity to lead the board at such a crucial time in the development of pharmacy education and training. I look forward to working with colleagues to build on the current registration assessment and the achievements of the board to date.”
