Our research
We carry out and commission research to gather insights about the pharmacy sector and explore trends in data we collect. This research helps to inform our work and makes sure our decisions are based on robust evidence. We also share this information with other organisations and people to help promote continuous improvement in pharmacy.
We publish regular data from our registers for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacies.
We also hold consultations on vital aspects of our work to understand the views of patients and the public and pharmacy professionals.

We don’t give contact details for registered pharmacy professionals to students, academic researchers or other third parties to carry out their own surveys or research (which we call third-party research).
We occasionally support research projects which link to our statutory aims or strategic priorities. We assess requests on a case-by-case basis.
