All frontline pharmacy workers encouraged to get their COVID-19 vaccination

Frontline pharmacy workers are among the high priority groups identified by the JCVI for receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. This is because people working in frontline roles are at greater risk of exposure to COVID-19.

We are actively encouraging pharmacists and pharmacy technicians providing frontline healthcare services to get vaccinated at the earliest opportunity. Please also encourage other members of your team to get vaccinated as well. As well as protecting yourself, your family and your colleagues, your decision to take up the vaccine will help protect the patients you care for.

Health and care services across the UK are working hard to get everyone in the high priority groups vaccinated as soon as possible. If you are a frontline pharmacy worker and haven’t had an invite yet, you don’t need to do anything – you should receive details soon via your employer or local vaccination team.
